How to do Cultural Organising

Read our toolkit here.

What is cultural organising?

Organising involves all the elements of human culture: emotions, arts, memories, philosophies, religions.

Organising is developed by particular people, in a particular place, using a particular process. If we get too focused on pre-determined organising strategies, we forget that when we are organising we are making our activity concrete, that is, we are making culture. If we don’t see organising as cultural, we risk understanding it as a fixed process rather than a free activity where people realise part of themselves.
